Kristi Ballif

Flute Instructor

Kristi Ballif currently teaches flute at Colorado Mesa University and plays with the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra. She is the author of Music Theory for the Flutist, a theory book designed especially for flute students. As a clinician, she has presented for the National Flute Association Convention, the Colorado Flute Association, the Colorado Music Educator’s Association Convention, and the Gateway Canyons Lecture Series.

Kristi earned her Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from Arizona State University and her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Brigham Young University. Her primary instructors have included Elizabeth Ruppe, Trygve Peterson, and Elizabeth Buck.

In addition to her classical flute studies, Kristi enjoys playing the Irish flute and Highland Bagpipes.
